This is my first blog post in the new place. I am very excited about getting everything moved over from the old blog. My old blog ran like a well-oiled machine, so it's a little strange getting used to something new. I am just hoping I won't lose too many people when the move is permanent.
This week, I have moved all but one of my toy bag patterns over from the old place. I have actually added in to my "free" patterns 3 of my previously "for sale" patterns. Right now, the only one staying "for sale" is my Acorn Bag, which can still be purchased through Ravelry. The big, time-consuming portion of all of this is that I have to take the text I placed right in my blog and reformat it to a downloadable .pdf file. I am becoming quite skilled at it, and the time it takes me for each one is beginning to get less and less. However, I only got three patterns done in 2-1/2 hours yesterday, if that tells you anything.
As for projects, I have been very busily working on a custom order. I have had a request for a "prairie" style family. I thought it would be super cute to either make a log cabin, or a covered wagon. Which do you think I chose? ....which one is harder?? LOL
What you see here is the base of my wagon. I need to pick up some more plastic canvas to create the "covered" portion of it. I have been brainstorming on what I could use for wagon wheels. If you have any brilliant ideas..do tell!
There has been much drama in the last week or so, so my time for projects has been shot all to heck. Van pooped out on us, costing $616. And Father in Law ended up spending a few days in the hospital with heart/stomach issues. He is doing much better now. Was a real eye-opener for him.
School has been going great. I have finally gotten into a rhythm in my classes. I only have two weeks left of this block, thank you Jesus. Then, it's on to Business Fundamentals and Ethics. My critical thinking class has been the bane of my existence, but I am so close to done...with a B, mind you!! I'm getting either an A or a B in Psychology. I really love that class. The information is just so interesting. Yes, I am a nerd.
OH...and I almost died of joy yesterday.....look what I found on Pinterest!!! Not sure my heart can take that kind of excitement!
YES...that is Captain Kirk!....and there are 4 or 5 other character graphs on the same link ^^. The only one missing is Sulu. :(
Some how, some way...I am making an afghan for myself out of these graphs. That's all there is to it.
I have hit the end of my chatter for the day. Let me know what you guys are doing!
And make sure you visit with me at Bizzy Crochet's FB page, where you will get free patterns and enjoy general yarny silliness.
Tah, for now!
